THE VILLAGE RESIDENCES in Pre-Construction by Sheppard & Bayview
The Village Residences in Bayview Village is a new mixed-use condominium development currently in pre-construction at 591 and 593 Sheppard Avenue East in North York, Ontario by Liberty Development Corporation. This new development will consists of residential, retail, office use space and a new place of worship.
The Village Residences Condos is a proposed L-shaped building of 6, 7 and 10 storeys in height with 186 residential units. 139 or 74% will be one-bedroom units ranging in size from 538 square feet to 700 square feet and 47 or 26% will be two-bedroom units ranging in size from 807 square feet to 1,378 square feet. Total residential gross floor area is 15,558 square metres. Included are three two-level at grade residential units. There will be 1,676 square metres of proposed retail/office space located on the first and second floors along the Sheppard Avenue East frontage. There will be also be a free-standing place of worship building that is 1,279 square metres in size to replace the existing Evangelical Presbyterian Church currently on site at 593 Sheppard Avenue East. It will be two stroreys in height with a pitched roof at the southeast corner of the site.
The Village Residences will have a proposed 267 parking spaces of which 260 will be located in the three levels of underground parking and 7 will be located at the surface parking area. There are also 160 bicycle parking spaces proposed.
The new development by Liberty will have approximately 297 square metres of indoor amenity space proposed to be located at grade level along the west side of the building adjacent to a approximately 172 square metres of common outdoor amenity area proposed.
The Village Residences at Bayview and Sheppard in North York is proposed to be phased in with the place of worship to be developed first followed by the L-shaped mid-rise mixed-use building containing the 186 dwelling units.
